Collaborative Real Estate Hosts Two UIDP Event Receptions in Tech Square

Collaborative Real Estate and The University Financing Foundation, Inc. (TUFF) joined forces once again to host evening receptions for two University-Industry Demonstration Partnership (UIDP) events that took place in Tech Square at the end of March.

As a proud Community Partner, we were honored to take part in two incredible events:

  • Mission in Motion 2022 (March 28-29, 2022): A multi-sector forum, locally co-hosted by the Atlanta University Center Consortium, Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, and the Morehouse School of Medicine, bringing together thought leaders and practitioners to develop actionable strategies that magnify the impact. Historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), industry, other institutions, government, and non-profits shared many goals for research collaboration and diverse talent development.

  • UIDP Face2Face 2022 (March 29-31, 2022): A three-day convention centered around how university-industry collaborations can leverage the importance of place. Attendees explored questions, strategies, opportunities, and success stories to inform future partnership journeys.

To punctuate the importance of place during UIDP’s first face-to-face gathering post-COVID, we wanted to celebrate these two momentous occasions in style.

On the evening of March 29, we hosted an informal happy hour gathering in the Tech Square courtyard for attendees of Mission in Motion to join as a wind-down after a long day of learning and before heading out to their respective dine-arounds. Complete with live music, libations, and delicious snacks, people mixed and mingled in the beautiful weather, decompressing from the day and sharing what they had uncovered.

And we were back in action the following evening, hosting the formal reception to kick off the Face2Face conference. With The Clubhouse garage doors wide open, attendees enjoyed intellectual conversations, delicious southern cuisine, and of course, our warm hospitality.

Positive feedback was captured in real-time as attendees repeatedly expressed their gratitude for the receptions and how much they were enjoying them. Gathering back together in person had been a long time coming and attendees were so appreciative to be included in such great festivities.

In a post-pandemic world, it can be hard to navigate the “new normal” and what’s next. Fortunately, we know a thing or two about engaging communities and creating spaces that inspire, connect, and nurture the success of the people inside.
